Let God be True and Every Man A Liar -- Romans 3:4

We believe that the Scriptures are God’s word given to man, not man’s words about God. God being the author of His Word gives us a trustworthy book without error, in its entirety, and is authoritative over science, natural revelation and all know sources of truth. This word then is the sole authority for what we believe as a group of followers of Christ, and how we live what we call Christianity.  II Tim 3:16-17

We believe in the one triune God, who eternally exists in three persons. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit are the three in one. This is beyond description and imagination and is accepted as truth because the Bible declares this to be. Gen 1:1; Deut. 6:4; Matt 28:19; John 10:30; Acts 5:3,4; II Cor. 13:14

We believe that man is basically selfish and that left unto himself will only make sinful, selfish choices. This is due to the fact that all of mankind comes from the seed of Adam who corrupted the very nature of man in his willful rebellious sin against God in the garden of Eden. When man does a kind and good act it is due to the influence of God; not due to any innate goodness within. Man has brought upon himself the terrible judgment of God because of his willful rejection of God and God’s instructions. This judgment is declared to be eternity in a literal hell. Gen 1:26,27; 2:17; Psalm 58:3; Rom 3:10-12; 6:23; 5:12-21; I Cor 2:14. Hell: Luke 16:19-26; II Thess 1:6-9; Rev 20:11-15

It is true that man is under the wrath of God and cannot do enough good to outweigh his bad; but God in His love for man has given mankind a second chance at restoring a relationship with Himself. God, who must punish all violation of the Law because He is just, also gave opportunity to have sin punished without individual people having to take on that punishment. God sent his only son - Jesus Christ - to be a replacement for punishment. Jesus Christ voluntarily allowed man to nail Him to a cross and kill Him so that this punishment could take the place of all mankind. The hope then is this: all who believe that Jesus died in order that they could be forgiven and granted the gift of salvation will receive it if they ask it of God. Jesus Christ was the bearer of the punishment of all mankind’s sin. All who trust that His death will pay that punishment of sin and replace punishment with restoration of fellowship now and forever with God will be granted this gift of forgiveness and adoption into family fellowship with God the Father.  Romans 10:9,10,13; Ephesians 2:8,9,10; John 3:15-21,36

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." Acts 4:12

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
